Ballinacurra GAA’s Centenary Cycle Fundraiser was a tremendous success, marking an extraordinary celebration of the club’s 100‑year anniversary and raising vital funds for the future of Páirc na nGeal. In a remarkable display of community spirit, dozens of cyclists, support crew members, and volunteers came together to make the event unforgettable.
Over 13 routes, cyclists covered a combined total of 1,300 km across Cork, visiting every GAA club in the county to celebrate Ballinacurra’s heritage and commitment to Gaelic games. Riders of all ages showed incredible dedication throughout the day, supported by an equally committed support crew and volunteers who ensured the event ran smoothly and safely.
A heartfelt thank‑you to every cyclist who took part — your energy and enthusiasm helped make this fundraiser truly special. To the support crew and volunteers, your hard work behind the scenes kept everyone going, and we are deeply grateful for your time and effort.
We also extend a huge thank you to all of our rider and route sponsors whose generous support made the cycle possible.
The funds raised from the Centenary Cycle will go towards improvements at Páirc na nGeal — enhancing facilities for youth sport, building safe walkways, upgrading playing surfaces, and developing sustainable infrastructure for players and the community for decades to come. The club’s ambitious goal to further develop its grounds will ensure Páirc na nGeal remains a vibrant hub for sport and community activity for the next 100 years.
Thank you to everyone who donated, cheered on the riders, and helped celebrate this historic milestone. Your support truly embodies the spirit of Ballinacurra GAA!
